Danny should NOT have been voted off...
He had the potential to make it to the top 5, maybe further...

Chikezie should have been the one to go... Though he did nicely last time...

The gay bashing is disturbing and idiotic. This is a talent competition. That said, Danny simply didn't have it. No one can say he didn't get a shot---this is his second time. He's inconsistent, his vocal range is narrow, and what so many people are calling "sassiness" is simply, IMO, really really annoying! He behaves like a 12 year old girl. Being gay doesn't mean you have to act like a girl. The swishy, girly mannerisms are just irritating. If indeed he was voted off for being gay, he has no one to blame but himself. He made an issue of it by the way he behaved. Sexual orientation is a private matter and if he doesn't kept his private life private, what does he expect?

why does being gay have to be PRIVATE

it shouldnt have to be AT ALLL

im bisexual and i could care less who knows it

its my life and if someone has a problem with it they can deal with it or just move on and leave me alone

When he blew of Simon's comments... I knew he was gone. I liked him at first, but... once I saw the video of him being a jack@$$, I just couldn't stand him anymore. Glad he's gone. His last performance was HORRID.

To use your own word: WOW. You are way off base. It might be useful if you read before you post, and maybe invest in a dictionary (ditto for Feargus). The word private does not suggest secrecy or shame. It means something that you share with only a select few. Like whether you have sex with men, women, both or neither! So you're bisexual and don't care who knows it? Good for you! But would you make a point of making a potential employer aware of that? I'm heterosexual, and I wouldn't. It's no one else's business and more to the point, it is immaterial. An audition is essentially a job interview. Why make anything but your singing ability an issue? In Danny's case, IMO, it was because he's not that good a singer. Or he lost confidence and decided to go all girly, commit AI suicide by being bitchy to Simon, and then have homophobia to blame when he got voted off. And by the way, no matter what you think, I'm not gay bashing. My position is that he's a lousy singer, he's inconsistent, and very unprofessional and immature. None of the gay men I know act like bratty 12 year old girls. That's what did him in. That's why he got voted off.

Has anyone noticed that it is mostly the ignorent straight people that are complaining about Danny's "sassiness?" I think this is because they see it is a way to broadcast his sexuality, and that's because that is how they connect the dots. Swishy-ness = gay. Oh by the way, if you say I'm "straight bashing" I think I'm allowed to if you are allowed to gay bash. BTW, I'M STRAIGHT.

^yeah, some people in my family are extremely anti-gay, and cannot stand him. i on the other hand have no problem with being gay, and i really like him. some uptight homophobic people have problems with guys like danny, because they think men should be "men"-be all masculine and tough. whatever. they can just learn to deal.

stupid question: is danny bi or gay. i really don't know.
