I think this kid sounds the same every week, every song he sings same type same drawn out song. He sings ok but there is nothing there to be excited about. I think he is a little lite in the loafers as well

I have to agree about the performance items. He's very packaged. He sound the same every time, picks the same kind of song, too. He's never taken a chance. As Simon says, he makes "smart choices", but they are safe ones. And those unnecessary runs and frills are just that---unnecessary. He totally ruined "Love Me Tender" for me. The beauty of that song is in its simplicity. If he'd just done it as written, with some feeling and expressiveness, he'd have pulled it off. I don't get what the judges are so in love with. Especially Simon who was so hard on Syesha (with justification) about being "boring" and "forgettable"---doesn't he see that David is even more so? OK, he's cute, in a kewpie doll kind of way. But have they abandoned all appearances of AI being a singing competition and made it a beauty contest? Even by that measure, I think David Cook should win. BTW----what doesn "light in the loafers" mean?

Lite in the loafers means I think he may be gay (not that there is anything wrong with that)

Poor kid, talk about a little drone, look at his eyes, the kis is told what to do, when to do it and how to do it, Very sad, he has talent. He is goign to be one of thos ekids that end up hateing his father and gettign crazy. Too bad, it's like watching a little robot.

He has an awesome voice, he's always just so happy and excited to make it this far. I would love for him to win, but it seems anymore the losers have WAY BETTER careers. I guess we wait and see

david can sing but i heard this sound before its nothing really unique. to me the best american idol season was season 2 because the country was literally divided in half over clay and ruben. american idol seat goson 2 had some singing folks!!!! all the the other american idols to me after the auditions kinda sucked it just got too predictable.
