Before you go tooting David's horn too loudly for being so innovative and talented... check YouTube for Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean. Interestingly, it's an almost note-for-note copy of David Cook's version... 'cept Chris did his, let's see, OVER A YEAR AGO. And Day Tripper, well, David admitted he ripped that off of Whitesnake. If I see him hang his head and take all the "you're so fearless, you're such a risk taker" accolades any more, I'm going to puke. He'll rip off anyone if he thinks it'll get him votes. Unfortunately for him, there are people out there who have heard the versions he's ripping off.

I understand that you feel justified in saying these things.. but .. they did say that it was Chris Cornells version... before he sang.. *shrugs* I think the judges were just crediting the fact he's taking risks and doing different types of versions.. instead of the original versions... I mean it is American Idol and honestly all the kids are singing other peoples songs... he never stated he arranged the song and neither did the judges.. *just sayin* but again.. you are entitled to your opinion.. just Like I am, and everyone else.. I just wish that people would stop and think before they start putting others down. Anyway... That said.. David you did a Great Job on the song tonight... it was by far the best tonight... and it WAS a risk taking on Chris Cornell... because ask ANY fan of his, like me, and they will tell you he has one of best voices in Rock History... Great Job! Completely loved it.

Please don't compare David Cook to Daltry. I thought Chris was great, but David Cook makes me hot when he sings. Daltry never did that!

i did not like the michael jackson remake by david cook it had no beat it just did not sound good coming from such a great performer i hope he steps it up

I am floored David was booted. He is amazing and would make a great new AMERICAN IDOL. Too many vote on personality rather than talent. David will certainly do well despite being booted off. No doubt he has a recording contrast presently. David will have a number1 album and I certainly will be the first one to by it. Knowing there is much talent, I can think of other than David to be booted.
Stay strong David this may be the best thing that happened to you. Your great and I'm sorry to see you go.
