It's been a long five-month journey, but we've finally reached the trail's end. American Idol will crown its sixth victor this evening and it will be either Jordin Sparks, the teen sensation from Arizona, or Blake Lewis, the human beat-box from the great Pacific Northwest. The odds-on favorite appears to be Jordin, but weirder things have happened. I will be updating the live blog here throughout the show and will have the final results posted just seconds after Mr. Ryan Seacrest announces them to the world. What follows are my live, almost totally unfiltered thoughts while watching tonight's two-hour American Idol finale. To read the rest, click here.

Blake is so unique and different. It's amazing to watch him perform. The last song just wasn't his style. But hope he wins, either way he's a winner...

Not according to all the experts. Everybody has Jordin taking home the crown.

It has been an interesting season, not necessarily marked by great singers or performers, but entertaining none the less. Have enjoyed reading the comments, at least most of them. The amount of name calling and cruel comments was surprising. If someone is so upset by the voting or the results, there is a magic tool called a remote control - change channels or turn off the TV. When I have voted, I always got the person I wanted. My favorite has not always won the night, but that is OK. Personally, I miss Sundance and Chris Sligh - but their leaving didn't stop me from watching and enjoying the rest of the season. It is good TV for those of us who want to watch.

Yeah Kelly has written/co-written all the songs for this album. Her new single iwass apparently written with the male singer from Evanecense (How ever it's spelt). Lovein the blog by the way keep up the good work

I love Kelly! She wrote most of the songs on Breakaway and wrote everything on her new cd My December. She just won an award for writing "Because of You"

Glad I found the remote, have had to use the mute button several times. Dancing With the Stars had a two-hour finale that was enjoyable but, this may be a long two hours! That's OK though. The stuff between the filler segments is pretty good. Smokey Robinson and Gladys Knight, Kelly Clarkson and even Gwen Stefani - not bad!
