Two singers, three songs each. That's it. Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks will compete for the American Idol championship tonight in part one of Idol's two-night finale. Part two comes tomorrow night in the form of a two-hour long extravaganza. It will be indulgent and exhausting but, in the end, our new champion will be crowned. Tonight, six performances will be crammed into a one-hour show. Starting at 8PM ET/5PM PT I'll be here to give live, up-to-the-minute updates throughout the show. Big question of the night: How will Paula Abdul's broken nose look? To read the rest, click here.

I would love to see Jordin record "Broken Wing" on her album. She just does such an amazing job with that song.

Some can sing and some need real training, but the judges should not wear crosses- please keep your religous beliefs to yourselves. Thanks.

i think people should be able to wear whatever they want, religious or not..... free country right? its not like they are pushing their religious beliefs on you, they are wearing it for themselves. if they cant wear it because they are on a show, whats next, you cant wear what you want on the street because it might offend someone. COME ON!

I think... it's hard for me to say it, but I think that Jordin should win. And the comment about the crosses; they're not pushing their religion onto you. They're not doing any harm by wearing a simple cross.

Based on the fact that this is a singing competition I think Jordin will be the next American Idol. Blake isn't even close to being in the same league as her when it comes to singing. Plus you can tell she actually wants to win this thing.

Blake is a real performer and I think he really did justice to that song, "This is my Now". At least he did what he can given that there's not much one can do to a crappy song anyway. It was a girl's song for crying out loud! But "You Give Love a Bad Name" was a real winner. I hope Blake wins. GO BLAKE!!!

Lets just ignore that comment above. I like blake alot, i dont know if he will win. I dont like the sound Jordan makes going into her high notes, seems shreeky. But she will mostlikely win

For such a "crappy" song Jordin sure as heck did a fantastic job with it. The reason Blake couldn't pull it off was because he isn't a strong singer. Sure he is fun to watch and has his beat boxing but he doesn't have the voice. Jordin has such a beautiful and powerful voice and proved tonight why she should win this competition.

Both of their lines aren't very busy... I've voted for blake like 30 times easily and figured no one was voting since it was so easy to get through. so I checked Jordins line and i only called 2 times before I got through... weird.
