Rueben was not a gimmick. That's wrong and offensive. Blake isn't a gimmick either. Haters can't stand it that he made it this far, so you have to resort to name calling. I vote for him because he's finally offering something different on the AI stage. I'm tire of hearing the same ballads and belters every year.

"He's finally offering something different on the AI stage". Calling people "haters" is merely an attempt to dismiss criticism when you can't offer anything intelligent in defense. Just because something is "different" doesn't mean it's good. Blake may not be a gimmick, but his beatboxing is. He can't fill a 14-song CD with it and his barely passable vocals will have to be electronically adjusted to sound good on radio. Maybe he can make dance records for the club circuit, but I agree that his future is singing to little girls in shopping malls. That's not "hating"--it's the truth. Hurts, doesn't it?

Okay Blake isn't so bad he is cute damn cute but I really don't thnk he will win American Idol he just doesn't have that type of a voice to make it. But I realllyyy like to watch him sing. Wink Wink!!!!

I'm really tired of hearing people say that Blake can't sing, do you even listen to his singing or are you too hung up on the beatboxing? I thought the name of the show was American Idol, not best American singer. The winner of the show should have the whole package, talent, personality and the ability to entertain. This year is the first year that I have watched the whole season, and it is because of Blake. He is the only one that doesn't just stand there holding the microphone while belting out some tired old ballad that puts me to sleep. He is a great singer as well as entertainer, and just wondering what he will sing and how he will do it, keeps me watching each week. (Not to mention what he will wear and what color his hair will be). If the final 3 had been Lakisha, Melinda and Jordan, I would have found something else to do on Tuesday nights. In case you're thinking I am just another teenage fan, I am over 50 and my friends and I love his music.

If AI doesn't want the rating to plunge, stop getting contestants to sing whitney houston or aretha franklin etc. Frankly speaking, the younger generation has NO IDEA who they're. I hope the fact that Jordin had never heard of 'Wish on a Star' can serve as a wake-up call for AI producers

Sorry, MT, but if you watch the show, then you should know that the beauty of AI is that people are free to argue and disagree over the contestants. Last time I checked it's a free country. So if people want to say Blake sucks and can't sing, they can say it. I agree. Blake sucks. Win or lose, he's a one-trick pony who won't have much of a career. He'll sell some records catering to the MTV demographic, a fickle crowd who will then forget him and move on to the next flavor of the month. Don't care much for Jordin, either. This whole season has been a yawner. Like a bad karaoke nightmare. Oh, and one more thing...Blake sucks.

Get real- Blake will not win. He doesn't have enough range. Beat-Boxin will only get him so far. Unfortunately his voice is way too limited to make it in our business. We already have Maroon 5 and Justin.

Jordin has everything the rest didn't. Just like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood had an awesome versitle voice and can sing any genre they choose. Unfortunately, looks are important and she also qualifies there !
