I’ve been reticent to give VoteForTheWorst.com credit for keeping Sanjaya Malakar on American Idol, just because they seem like such an easy scapegoat. However, given Sanjaya’s recent rise in popularity (and his absence from the bottom three last week) we’re running out of culprits who deserve blame for Sanjaya remaining on the show. We have to begin looking for what is sparking this Sanjaya phenomenon. VoteForTheWorst can no longer be ignored. To read the rest, click here.

Sanjaya is favorite of all votefortheworst.com visiters, gamblers, gays, hawaiians, teenagers, Indians, people from washington state etc. Gamblers are voting because they are getting more returns for their money.

Sanjaya may win. Take the numbers of VFTW and multply it by the mass voting and texting as well as the non-registered that are fed up with Idol backing him and slinging stories. Then take Howards audience and the people who do it from schools and colleges because it is the cool thing to do and they out vote Idols audience hands down. The last two shows they affected the votes in the begining but this year they made a quantum leap in support fueld by Idols arogant producers. Look for their decimation next year... Too bad really, it was a nice show to start and had all the right elements, just the wrong producers.

I like him and hope that he goes on to do great things with his fame.i think that he can be just as famous as any of the others that cant sing ,and made millions ,do not start naming names.big names...can't hit a tune and sold millions ..for instance...what about Keith Sweat? be for real,we all know that he could not\ cannot sing but he sold Millions.. Give Sanjaya a chance .. my only advice to Sanjaya is to not get a attitude with Simon or any of the others , dont spend your one chance at doing what you have always dreamed of doing worrying about what negative people say or think of you... do your thing and have fun .. just remember someone loves you and votes for you and will buy your records (if done in good taste)get with someone like Michael Jackson and have him write you a song or two , that would be a great start for you.Whether you win or lose American Idol. i am sure he(MJ) would appreciate it too .. i wish you all the luck in the world Sanjaya , be nice and have fun . ugly do

I feel the judges are not being fair to the other 8 singers by not coming out after Sanjaya sings and tell him like they critic the others. Just how he REALLY did. The judges don't have any problem saying how they feel with the other 8.Sanjaya is playing you and everyone else. He knows just how to act and play the nieve game. He has all the young people and others snowed. Then there are others that seem to like to make a mockery of what Idol is all about. To give the kids that have real talent a chance. It is not right or fair to the ones that deserve the chance because they can sing.So judges do your job and the people who vote --vote for the reason this show stands for the best TALENT.Give these kids that really can sing a chance. They are serious and this is there future in your hands. THANK YOU

People like to selectively forget that VFTW's choice, until he was voted off, was SUNDANCE HEAD (HELLO!!!!!!!!!) While VFTW is certainly influential, this is a phenomenon separate from VoteForTheWorst. They are riding the wave, not creating it.

You folks also forget: THIS IS A REALITY TV SHOW. Aside from Simon, who is the only legitimate A&R/talent guy on the panel (Randy Jackson is a bassist, ex-Journey, and Paula Abdul a dance/pop princess) nobody else has a stake: Simon's record company doles out the contracts to these folks. Other than him, it is NOT ABOUT SINGING, it is about GETTING EYEBALLS TO WATCH. It is TV, people!!!!!!

No idea why anyone would like Sanjaya. He is a bad singer and is weird like Michael Jackson. His style and demeanor actually reminds me of Michael Jackson in his earlier year; however, his singing reminds me of bad elevator music. Why do girls like him? He is clearly gay with that haircut and the hoola dancing. Nothing against the gay people. Just don't understand the attraction. American Idols needs to have a phone line for people to vote someone off the show. If that is the case, Sanjaya will definitely get a lot of my votes...

AI has lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned as a talent show and singing competition! The judges (clowns) have gotten to the point where they don't even critique his performance (which was nothing short of pathetic, again) as they do the others! It is painfully obvious that this poor talentless kid (Sanjaya) is being used to bring ratings by the producers.the longer he stays on there, the bigger the controversy will get, the better the ratings will be.yes, its that simple folks! The joke is on all of us who think this is about who the best singer is...its all about ratings! (NJ) 4/3/2007 11:04:56 PM
