The Top 11 Performance Show had the theme of “The British Invasion”, which was an immaculate choice, giving every contestant a well of great songs to choose from. We saw some performances that were true to the originals and we saw a few that put their own spin on the classics. As we do after every performance show, we've graded every song in a completely biased manner. Is there any other way? To read the rest, click here.

1. Sanjaya will wind up as the latest version of David/Shawn Cassidy. Watch for him on the cover of 'Tiger Beat' magazine. He's a "safe" performer for pre-teen girls. Moms will take them in droves to see him in concert. 2. Chris Sligh will wind up hosting a late-night talk show. 3. Gina will front a retro-80s band. 4. Phil will play Uncle Fester in 'The Addams Family Joins The Navy' 5. Haley will be a Penthouse Pet, and then move on to a career as a porn star. 6. They'll try to stick a cowboy hat on Chris Richardson and promote him as the next 'country' sensation. He'll fade away to the county fair circuit. 7. Stephanie will wind up singing in smoky jazz nightclubs. 8. Jordin will be a singer/voice talent in a Disney cartoon, and then do regular stints on the Tomorrow Land stage. 9. Whether they win or lose 'Idol', Blake, Lakisha and Melinda all have the talent to go on in the music business and sell plenty of albums.

Disagree on a few points. I thought too many made horrible song choices last night: LaKiska, Stephanie, Sanjaya, Melinda, Gina. An exception is Chris R. who I don't usually like, but hit "Don't Let the Sun..." out of the park. Melinda has to stop with the AARP fare and sing something interesting to anyone under 60. Sanjaya was abominable; what were you hearing? The show was abominable too with the repeated cuts to the crying girl. Stephanie will go tonite, horrible song selection and performance.

I 4got: Haley: B+ [fine for that song, good choice] Chris R.: A [sense to use a calm arrangement !] Blake: C+ [late coming in on 1 stanza, can't sing in tune] Lakisha: B [accurate, just uninteresting] Phil: B Jordin: A [a great long high note!] Sanjaya: F [the Kinks were crying along also] Gina: C [poor song choice, didn't connect with this eerie, paranoid song] Chris S.: C [no "yo", no presence, strained at times] Melinda: C [another boring show tune, *not* a British Invasion song, sang "she" instead of "he" in first verse, wobbly ending]

I agree with most of your grades. Sanjaya did better that his last few peformances, but I still don't think that warrants the grade you gave him. I would grade him lower. However, I don't think he will go home this week. Check out my prediction and my critiques of last night's show at http://tcbastron.blogspot.com I will look for you in the comment section.

Good job, Scorpio, pretty much agree. Haley was a blast, huh, with her boobs jiggling around and showing plenty of leg and giving us the eye. Apparently she's trying help horny middle-aged couch potatoes forget about Antonella Barba. Not a bad strategy, she's definitely the dark horse to win. I'm worried if it comes down to a Melinda-Lakisha showdown. Where's the drama or the excitement there? You have two clunky, misshapen, rather bland, older black girls with no edge and similar styles. Come on, not exactly idol material. In the creep-out department, okay Sanjaya looks like he might have spent a few too many sleepovers at the Neverland Ranch. But Phil really gives me the willies. Gina should go on stage coming out of a double-wide trailer. Look at her studded tongue when she opens wide . . . yuck. I still think it's a disappointing crop. The show's like a rubber-suited monster movie from the 50s, a laugh and a time-killer.

Roger that is a priceless line "Sanjaya looks like he might have spent a few too many sleepovers at the Neverland Ranch." Anybody else want to give it up to Roger?

A star was born last night in Haley Scarnato. Haley's performance ranks as one of the best ever on American Idol. Can she perform like that consistently from here on out? If so she becomes a contender for the crown. I thought the performance was perfect especially her abilty to move around the stage in the appropiate timing to match the song. Haley's stage presence was dominating her energy level fantastic and her vocals at times gave you chills. Brilliant performance. She may not be the best pure vocalist on this year's show but the total package that was Haley last night is going to be tough to beat.
