After a string of rumors following Jennifer Hudson, American Idol season three finalist, she finally fights back with dignity. Her failure to mention American Idol in her acceptance speech when she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, whether deliberately or not, has sparked a lot of negative publicity for Hudson, specifically pertaining to her “ingratitude” for the show that allegedly escalated her to stardom, American Idol. And when she finally mentioned American Idol when she received her Oscar Award, she depicted the show as a “stepping stone” which further aggravated her negative publicity. To read the rest, click here.

Are you aware that there is a website in existence that is called www.votefortheworst.com ? Set up expressly to urge people to urge people to vote for their choice of the worst singer; at the moment there pick is Sanjaya. I wondered how he managed to hang on. What a shame if he gets in the top 10 and a wortheir contestant does not.

Who cares about votefortheworst.com knocking out one or two more? The people knocked out won't win anyway. As the number of contestants decrease, the power of the votefortheworst folks will diminish because the total votes will be spread over less contestants. They could swing a close vote towards the end, but these are the best of the best anyway. Has the best singer really won on all the previous idol shows? No. If the best singers make it to the top 3-4, they'll have all the exposure they need to make it after the show - if they truly have talent (and in some cases, even if they don't!).

just read the piece on jennifer hudson. what an ungrateful person she is. i don't know about brainwash etc but if not for American Idol, she would not have been recognised. Let's face it. It is the brutal truth. She would have still been in Burger King. I am so annoyed. Lakisha and Melinda can teach this woman a thing or two about talent and humility. Yuck.

Um -- an Academy Award and an Oscar are the same thing.
