American Idol: Top 16 Results Show, Quick Thoughts

Tonight, we're all going to learn who gets to hit the big stage next week. The American Idol Top 12 will be announced by the time tonight's show is over. Who is it going to be? Is Antonella done? How about Sanjaya? What's this big announcement we've heard so much about?

Wow, a surprising amount of taste shown by the American Idol producers. The requisite group song that they kick off the results show with is “Stuck in the Middle With You” by Steelers Wheel. Millions of Americans just had visions of ears being cut off and, worse, Michael Madsen.

Okay, so we have the SUPER IMPORTANT AMERICAN IDOL ANNOUNCEMENT THAT WILL KNOCK THE EARTH OFF ITS AXIS AS A RESULT OF ITS IMPORTANCE coming up later tonight. I remain skeptical, but we'll see.

I can't believe that Sanjaya has moved on once again! Sundance should of beat him by a mile! People should vote for the "singer" and not by teeny bopper "material"..I am appalled and so is the rest of America! Let's get it right people!!!

I will no longer watch American Idol if this continues! I can't believe that Sanjaya has beat the system again thanks to the ones that voted for him and kicked out Sundance! What is going on here?? Come on people..let's do it the RIGHT way!!

You are in trouble with your voting. Think what race dominates the computer and tech schools in this country. Can they set a computer to vote continously for Sanjaya?

I am disgusted that Sundance was voted out tonight. And Sabrina. I have had it with the show. I am beginning to lose interest.

Sanjaya & Haley could not sing their way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in it. American, this is a "singing" competion not a "popularity" contest. Sorry, you two suck canal water.

This is not a crediable singing contest.....I can't believe that this show has become a popularity contest. I thought we were looking for the best SINGER.....this is rediculous. Sabrina, Sundance gone? Crazy, Sabrina should be in the top 4. America stop this madness and do the right thing vote on singing ability, not who is the best looking or best dress. How do you think we missed Jennifer Hudson and got that screaming ass Fanstasia.

This show is getting ridiculous. The bad singers stay on, the good ones go. Something has got to change or else it just won't be worth watching. Miss you Sundance. If I thought for one moment he would have been voted off I would have just voted for him for two hours straight.
