american-idol-simon-cowell.jpgWhen someone asked the notorious American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, who among the contestants and winners has got “big heads,” Cowell straightforwardly cites Jennifer Hudson, American Idol season 3 finalist, and Taylor Hicks, season 5 winner, as examples.

During a panel discussion on the Paley Festival, Cowell can’t help but compare the two “ungratefuls” with other American Idol contestants and winners who had his vote of confidence from the beginning of their Idol journey. "[Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson] loved him. I couldn't stand him. I didn't get it…At the end of the day you have to find a bona fide recording artist. Just because you win the show doesn't mean you will sell a lot of records. Chris [Daughtry] is the one who sold the albums, not Taylor Hicks,” said Cowell.

Daughtry is again #1 at Billboard, that CD has legs. He's the real champ of Season 5, American Idol in the meantime is boring this year and that makes us miss contestants like Daughtry even more.

Simon did in fact KNOCK Jennifer Hudson several times -- in favor of Fantasia Barrino. The press seems to be selectively deleting this fact.

Jennifer Hudson owes American Idol nothing. She auditioned for the movie three times and got it on her own. American did not get the role for her and yes it was her stepping stone. That's it. Simon never gave her any praise when she was on the show. So she owes them nothing. Nobody makes a big deal about the number of cel

So what is the big deal. I am happy for Jennifer.

Hello,
Simon, I have only one comment for you. The problem America's having with you is that you are really cruel, in almost all of your comments. especially (the one's you made about jennifer they where really harsh. So you cannot now blame her for not appreciating American Idol. When in fact, the show was just as she stated a stepping stone to where she has landed. I am a very loyal fan of American Idol since season 3, And most of the time I really think that your on point in your critic's..(people needs to understand that we Brit's are not known to bite our thong) we call a spade a spade. I was born in Birmingham U.K. all in all Simon your my homey, just be nicer. Thank You Sincerely

Well, let's all be happy for Taylor, he won! Wait a second what happened to him? Yeah he won last season but Simon is right, the winner isn't always the best. Jennifer should appreciate Idol more for her success because Idol has created a lot of opportunities for the people on the show, reguardless if they won or not. Yea she did audition and so what, she still had an edge over others because of the fact that she was on Idol. I have a hard time seeing a noname actress in a movie like Dreamgirls. So yea, actually Jennifer should appreciate her opportunity more. And as for her not winning Idol because of Simon, she's got to change her attitude because he DIDN'T vote. He might have made cruel comments, but he does that with everyone so it doesn't really stand out with the voters. Also, sure some of Simons comments may seem harsh, but as Simon always says, "it is a singing competition", and the reality is that all these people aren't always that good. The fact that Simon gives a true evalu

cont..
evaluation and not a pat on the back when the singers do bad is what the singers should look forward to because you should strive to get better, and he's just telling you what to fix. When singers do good he always tells them that they were good. If you can't take some criticism from Simon then you really won't get far in your career. America is a harder critic of Simon than the singers are. Its season 6 now people, everyone knows the drill. SIMON, you're awesome, your comments are awesome, keep em' coming!!!

First of all, I have been following Jennifer's rise to real fame and sucess since all the buzz about Dream Girls. I have seen and read many interviews that she has given and not once has she seemed ungrateful or acted like an unappreciative diva. On Oprah she said she wouldn't be where she is if it weren't for American Idol. Why does the media always have to start unnecessary drama when people become successful. What the hell is wrong with saying that American Idol was a stepping stone? She didn't win so what else was it?

As we were watching the American Idol, Thursday night we were all extremely desapointed how the viewrs voted on eleminated Sundance Head. We felt he was a very strong candiated to go all the way. Sundance has a lot of potential from day one. We can not understand why Sanjaya is still in the competition. We think he has no potential in his singing at all. He should have been gone by now. Did the viewers voted because of his different looks everyweek? We guess we are loosing our taste of choosing. We hope that a music industry will give Sundance a chance to prove to the viewers that voted him out was not such a good idea.

Regarding Antonella we don't think she would have made it. She still had to prove to us having more confidence and potential we did not see that. Antonelle should have been eliminated about a week ago. And for Sabrina, she also was a pretty good strong candiate to go all the way. Unfortunatelly the viewer had different opion.
