Rosie O'Donnell Describes American Idol as "Racist"

Rosie O’Donnell, comedian, television personality and co-host of the award-winning daytime talk show The View, described American Idol as “racist” after the buzzing protests over Frenchie Davis' disqualification vs. Antonella Barba’s continued inclusion on the show.

Frenchie Davis, a 27-year old native of Washington, D.C., is a former American Idol season 2 contestant. She was disqualified from the talent show after the surfacing of her topless photos on the Internet in 2003. Davis’ ineligibility to pursue the competition rouses a lot of controversy with today’s season 6 Idol contestant Barba, 20, who has been the talk of the town these past few days ever since her controversial pictures appeared on several websites. The photos showed Barba and her friends topless at the beach, as well as Barba consuming alcohol while being underage. In addition, photos from an anonymous source on various gossip blogs contained much illicit exposure of an alleged Barba engaging in a number of sexual acts and titillating poses, exposing much of her private parts.

I personally wish that they had taken action against Barba from the beginning ... I think that she is plain white trash ... however, the more important question is when can we vote to eliminate Rosie O'Donnell from the view ... or any other public venue for that matter ... she is the most judgmental pious creature with a voice ... absolutely makes me ill!!

I agree - Rosie needs to shut the hell up. I am so sick of her fat ass. What our world doesn't need is more comments like this about racism that only breed more negativity about this sensative issue!!! Barbara Walters, if you don't get her off "The View" now you might as well bend over and "kiss it good bye" - I wouldn't watch Rosie on your show if I was paid to do so!!!

Huge difference- Frenchie accepted money to be in amateur porn, Barba had a few friends take some pictures she wouldn't want her parents to see. Big difference.

Rosie is always touting everything she feels is an injustice ... how about insulting a 20 year old girl about her singing? Sure, I agree she cannot sing very well, but I just wouldn't vote for her. Rosie has this huge media stage in which to demean the poor girl. Antonella did not pose for pictures with the intent of having them posted on the internet - Frenchie did! Get over it. Antonella will probably be heading home tonight anyway, and Frenchie has a successful career on Broadway. Way to go Rosie ... losing the ability to use AI clips on The View... when are they going to fire her already?

I agree that ROSIE D. should just shut her mouth! I'm sick & tired of this woman/man, she's always stirring up controversy. She should be fired from View. The more she talks, the more she's putting her personality down the drain...no class,trashy,hypocrite,and no dignity. She is the lowest mankind on earth!!!

First of all ROSIE is a complete moron. Racist? How so. One was hot the other a fat slob. Besides, two of the idol champs are black. No, Rosie just like to hear her fat mouth run. Someone needs to insert a small caliber bullet behind either of her two fat ears.
