Randy/Paula Translation Guide, please

Will someone please, for the love of God, tell me what the heck "pitchy" means? And what on earth does Paula mean by "I feel your heart?" And is it my imagination, or does she become progressively more incoherent as the season goes on? People complain when Simon makes cruel remarks about a contestant's appearance, but why does no one point out how Paula fawns over contestants with remarks like "You're such a beautiful girl....I love your outfit...You're so hot"? It's just as demeaning as when Simon does it. This is not a beauty contest. It's a singing competition. They should both remember that. But at least I understand what Simon is saying.
