| If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it. CBS' The Amazing Race may be in the shadow of more popular reality shows like American Idol and Survivor, but no other show can boast an Emmy award for Outstanding Reality Competion Series… because The Amazing Race has won them all. Now The Amazing Race has another distinction--albeit a much, much stupider and pointless distinction--to add to its mantle; the show is the first to have its renewal announced via Twitter, the micro-blogging service that is slowly taking over America and turning people into the disconnected society that Wall-E warned us about. Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan posted a renewal notice on his Twitter feed, and CBS' official Twitter confirmed the news shortly after, says The Hollywood Reporter. |
