logan says this because he has sinned in the eyes of the world and to himself and now this is his chance to be redeemed.

cool eh?

hehe maybe i can explain something (im a christian). What logan said is verse 3 from Psalm 40. Ive took the Bible, and ive take a look, and with my christian vision, i probely now what it means:

(very short) God took me from all the danger and he gave me a place to stand.

Logan was in danger, but now he have a (good) life in a house without any danger. No problems anymore, he is still a prisoner, but he have a confortable life.

Im from holland, so it is hard for me to explain more
Some questions, just ask
