After so many years of watching
24 on DVD, I'm finding it difficult to adjust to the one episode per week system. Before season 6, I don't think I'd ever watched just one episode in a sitting. It was always a
24 marathon, a
Jack Bauer-fueled reeling off of four or five (or sometimes nine) episodes in one sitting. This sort of degenerate viewing behavior allowed full immersion into the world of
24. Now, with only episode available per week, the effect has been lessened. I feel like I'm guarding myself against getting too excited about each episode, so as not to be totally frustrated with the seven day wait for each cliffhanger pay-off. Or maybe I'm not as excited for each episode this season because they're not as good as previous seasons.
